It's even worse because the only way to boost her self healing outside of runes is by building spirit visage, which is only really good in mid/late game and can be a wasted item into AD comps even considering the healing boost. The fact she can't use lifesteal/omnivamp effectively is just kinda dumb

a chance at counter play. This will bring back illaoi's "come at me bro" kind of playstyle. Also, un-nerf her self healing, come on, rito, you did sweeping nerfs to all self healing bruisers and juggernauts and then unnerfed all of them BUT illaoi. Now she just can't do her combo! It's ridiculous.

This has, in my eyes, a very simple solution: The target of the E can restore some percentage of damage dealt to Illaoi as healing to the spirit. Just make it a set percentage that doesn't scale with skill rank (bc then illaoi won't level it) and do the testing to make sure it gives both players...

Now players simply just walk away when E lands on them, because they have no choice: either stay in range but not near illaoi and hope she doesn't have the damage to kill the spirit, or just walk under tower and dodge the (now very nerfed) tentacles

Originally, after pulling the spirit out of the target, the target could attack illaoi to lower how long the spirit lasted. But this meant fast attack speeds basically nullified the spirit entirely, ruining the combo. So riot completely removed this mechanic in favor of just... letting them run.

one of my biggest gripes with riot is that they made like, 3 charas I like, and they're all in an objectively bad video game (league) like I kinda wanna try 2xko but idk

Lmao this is why I was like "no way rito will be able to run a fighter", not after they butchered illaoi years ago, forgot how they ruined her playstyle and then gave her shitty buffs that didn't address the actual problem of her original design no longer functioning correctly
