I saw an elk in the wild as a kid. I say wild, it was on my way home from school, on a trail which went through a forest.
It just stood there. It looked at me. I looked aside. I froze. Then, it walked away, in these lazy steps, not using the gravel path but a ditch. Mom didn't believe me. I was 8.
