Hand-tracked statistics, highlights and news from the CHL. Lots of coverage for draft-eligibles and NHL prospects with a slight #Canadiens bias. I track PIGS 🐷 (Production Independent Game Score)
Brady Martin went bar down between the legs last night against Oshawa

Sam Dickinson’s first NHL point is a game tying goal late in the 3rd! Also came in his tenth GP, officially burning the first year of his ELC

Michael Misa in the right place at the right time to put home his first NHL goal. Now has 3 points in his first 4.33 games for the Sharks

The Oshawa Generals’ Beckett Sennecke scored in his NHL debut last night on 17:24 TOI. Helping his case to stick

Niagara rookie Ryerson Edgar looked absolutely unreal in his second career OHL game. Playing on the top line with third-year star Ryan Roobroeck, it was Edgar that was driving the line all night.

3G 1A
14 successful transitions (absurd)
73.24 xGF%
2.394 PIGS

Eligible for next year’s draft

Madness from the Q last night! A little pushing and shoving between Quebec and Sherbrooke leads to a all out line brawl 🥊
September 20, 2025 at 10:37 PM
Colin Fitzgerald with his second point of the night, a power play goal to give the Petes the lead in the 2nd

While Pickford’s defence is generally sound, there were a few defensive reads that were genuinely atrocious. The first clip against Catton (arguably the best player in the league) is particularly egregious.

Pickford’s offensive explosion notably only comes after getting to play with Gavin McKenna. They spent a lot of time on the ice together this season, much of it coming on the powerplay. Pickford has an accurate shot with an efficient quick release that consistently beat CHL goaltenders this year.

Pickford is also very strong on the breakout, able to retrieve the puck cleanly and decisively get it going up ice, either on foot or with a well-placed first pass.

The aspect of Pickford’s game that stood out in every viewing was his smart, active stick in defending 1-on-1 situations. A few times per game, he’d break up a developing play with a perfectly timed stick check
