turning plants and sometimes animals into shit since 1987
can we please stop referring to people as adjectives instead of nouns?

➡️ people with dyslexia (not “dyslexics”)

➡️ white people (not “whites”)

➡️ asshole people (not “assholes”)

etc.

reducing people to a single characteristic is just silly.

Are these iPhone accessories from yesterday’s #AppleEvent real products?

My searching and Google Lensing comes up with nothing nearly as elegant. @sdw.bsky.social @panz.bsky.social @gruber.foo

Is there an easy way to mimic an ETF or Index Fund but make minor alterations?

Would be powerful for cases like excluding one stock to protest a co.

IG is the only Meta product I use, but I rely on it a lot for design inspiration, discovery of community resources (e.g. LA fire funds) and products, and feeling connected with friends.

This week I deleted the app and now only use it via mobile browser. I’ve found a few benefits:

Looks like Congestion Pricing has significantly reduced traffic entering Manhattan via bridges and tunnels during the day.

Nihilism & willful ignorance carry with them a certain bracing sense of freedom. You can act with more flair, say & do crazy shit, lie without qualms, be *fun* & *interesting to watch*. If public life is just a reality show, that's always going to win. It plays better on screens, where we all live.

This feels right to me. In a age when "authenticity" is prized more than ever, Dems have never felt more message-tested, programmed, fake. In an age where attention is the prize, sanding off all rough edges & being blandly pleasant is a death sentence.

@bsky.app build Instagram too please? Reverse Threads it: separate app and following graph, but integrated accounts and discovery. Same development tools and principles as Bluesky. Call it Grids. @pfrazee.com @jay.bsky.team

+ this!!

for example @buffer.com has a bluesky integration that allows drafts, and i believe @skeetsapp.com @tokimeki.blue have drafts and @deck.blue has scheduled posting, among others
It also important to note there are other clients besides the official ones that may have features you want so do look around.
"does bluesky have drafts" no but we have kindness. we have friendship. we know love. we know how to see the world in a grain of sand, and heaven in a wildflower. we know how to hold infinity in the palm of my hand, and eternity in an hour.
