From my DMs, check out this official press release from EPA.

It reads like it was written by an angry teenager. The pettiness of the Administration is filtering down. I am embarrassed about where we are.

To all the career EPA civil servants, you deserve better.

From my DMs, generalized to protect the employee:

More cuts to the National Wildlife Refuge System, as demanded by the recent EO and follow up OPM/OMB memo, will be the death of many refuges and destroy the whole system.

From a DM. Are you familiar with National Wildlife Refuges?

JUST IN: Another medical horror story in an affidavit from a USAID employee stationed overseas. Says his pregnant wife was not medevac-ed for emergency health care because of directives from DC. Took intervention of a U.S. senator to reverse — but was too late. s3.documentcloud.org/documents/25...

I maxed out my credit card, emptied my savings account, and took out a loan to move from Alabama to Bethesda, MD. I don’t even qualify for unemployment since I’ve only worked at NIH for a month. I will be financially and medically devastated.

Seeking suggestions for anywhere that’s hiring!!
Today, along with 2,000 other NIH employees, I had to clear out my office 😭

It was truly the honor of my life to work with such incredibly passionate people focused on improving human health. I’ve never experienced a more positive culture where *everyone* cared about their job and serving others.

While I wait for the email that tells me whether I’ve been fired or spared, here’s a thread of things I’ve had the privilege of working on, experiencing, and accomplishing in my 10 months as a federal employee at the Storm Prediction Center.
