The best part about this time of year, for me, is all the holiday movies & classic TV specials that reinforce that, well, that this is the best time of year.

It's great. I'll say 2 specific things:

A Pink Christmas is 30 minutes without any dialogue and with tons of heart. Being a good person really IS of value, especially when the weather is a challenge.

I'm noticing that a lot of my fave #ChristmasMovies don't contain much consumerism, unless it's the villain.
A Pink Christmas is 30 minutes without any dialogue and with tons of heart. Being a good person really IS of value, especially when the weather is a challenge.

This is one I'd forgotten, until a 5-years-ago viewing unlocked a #corememory from my childhood.

It's chilling, but the 1970s Canadian aesthetic that's baked into it is the real star.
Really great cinematography & blocking, and some wonderfully fleshed out characters. And finally, it's awesome to experience a true feminist film without being hit over the head.

A classic! Of course this one's full of good messages and cute songs, but I really love seeing OLD SCHOOL Sesame Street, where sets aren't perfect, dialogue isn't sharpened, and the cast of characters isn't full-on commercial yet.
