BSc nursing training is 3 years
In my training as a mental health nurse it included 12 weeks of general nursing to gain experience and insight in physical health. Mine were palliative care & cardiology. The rest of placements were camhs, acute ward, elderly, crisis, eating disorders, drugs & alcohol

So the ones that can diagnose ADHD would potentially be a Psychiatrist, GP, neurologist , paediatrician .

I couldn’t say how many hours exactly but depending on work places there maybe training opportunities once on the job but i do recall having lectures & seeing people with ADHD on placement

Medication administration , care plans & risk assessment , referrals mental state examination many more

As for ADHD I couldn’t tell you how many hours in my mental health training or PA training but over the years I have looked after patients with ADHD that are experiencing psychosis & self harm.

In the UK the nursing training is years at Bsc or 2 years MSc

For all 4 fields Mental health , learning disability ,children & adult

Nurse Training is usually 50% uni. Theory & 50% placement so in mental health would cover meds, conditions , psychiatric placements in community or hospital

That’s interesting, thanks for sharing! It’s great Germany is proactive about climate change . Hot summers and high waters must be tough for healthcare. I imagine they’re training you to be well-rounded to insights on impact, but I get that exams will likely focus more on pharmacology—so I feel you!

Wow, that’s interesting! I’m a UK nurse, and climate change training wasn’t part of my curriculum. In Zambia, it’s a huge issue—it’s so hot that people likely faint and face heat-related problems , power cuts. May I ask which country you’re training in? Is it a big issue there?
