My favorite part of being a mental health nurse on inpatient wards is the recovery seeing the patients transform—from being acutely unwell to their true selves ❤️ brings joy. Secondly helping students,reminding myself they’re here to learn, not work, after a horrible experience on my last placement.

I know the NHS is facing a lack of funding, but clarity on roles like PAs is needed-adverts,posters , in hospitals & GP,emails & letters to patients ideas to help.To register,PAs must pass the OSCE and state their name and role, yet if people don’t understand 'PA,' once in practice there’s an issue.

I’ve always wondered why physician associates seem to face more scrutiny than nursing associates, given both roles bridge gaps and support NHS workloads. As a mental health nurse and newly qualified physician associate, a national advert could help clarify the scope and importance of these roles.
