Now these two 18 year old kids could potentially be facing up to 5 years in state prison for possession of a Class C Substance with intent to distribute.

Had Question 4 passed, they’d have paid at MAX a $150 fine.

While the details of the arrest are pretty scant so far - looking closer at the seized stash that sure looks a lot like at least a few Ziplock bags-worth of dried mushrooms...

I’ve spoken with dozens of MA Voters who have said the same thing — the Q4 campaign had nearly $8 million to work with and reached less than 60% of the electorate prior to Election Day.

The voters didn’t get the best of the argument on either side of the political equation here — really a bummer.

Definitely both a bit of column A and Column B, so to speak!

The bill itself was poorly written in a way that made it easy to fear monger about the Q4’s home grow and Decrim provisions — but that could have been counteracted with a robust public education campaign, which the Q4 team beefed imo.

I say “almost-laughably” because the campaign’s failure is a tragedy for those who remain desperate for legally-protected access to psychedelics for healing/treatment.

I think the entire Yes on 4 operation was almost-laughably sloppy and a near-perfect microcosm of the glaring ineptitude and general incompetence of the Democratic establishment at large.
