My wife & I watched this tonight. Probably one of my favorite videos and definitely felt needed tonight

When the world feels like it is falling apart, it is natural to ask where is God? He is near. He is faithful. He is still in control. Psalm 46

May God bless you tonight

President Trump, the time has come for you to make a choice: you are either the "servant of God" of Romans 13, or you are the "beast from the abyss" of Revelation 13. Unless and until the right choice becomes evident... (1/2)

So good. Worth a listen.
I have been very vocal about my belief that Penal Substitutionary Atonement (“Jesus took on the punishment that we deserved on the cross to satisfy God’s wrath”) is harmful theology.

The most common retort is “what about Isaiah 53:10?”

Here is a 12 minute homily on Isaiah 53.

God is not a sadist.

Cultural Christianity (Christendom) can be enforced by armies and politics.

But a lived Christian faith of actually following Jesus is achieved only through the cross and the Spirit.

I used to be enamored with politicians who openly used Christian faith language in interviews and speeches.

I’m now far more enamored when politicians openly treat others with Christian kindness.

O Gracious God, have mercy on us and all nations of the world. Deliver us from idolatry, immorality & injustices on the right AND the left. Help us not to be partisan - blind to our own errors and seeking to dominate - but truly political, working together for the good of neighbors and communities.
