Born at 325ppm. Despite the cute sign in my profile picture we can choose not to be doomed. It will take many people making that choice.
Thanks, the show was a real pleasure.

I was on a sailing when the announcement included “for the safety of your vehicle…” They seem to have backed off since then. But yes, tickets seem like the solution, but would require unlikely legislation.

Good catch. Not much you can do with an Enviolo hub once they’re out of warranty. They last long enough that by the time you replace it you’ll likely have saved more than the difference, while also having enjoyed the convenience of putting your bike away wet (esp. with the belt drive).

I have a bike with an internal gear hub and love it for commuting, but I hope I can save you some money here. “Never” needs servicing isn’t quite right. Interval depends on the model but they do need service. IG hubs have a big maintenance savings, but ignoring that service could become costly.

That would be great! I just tried Bixi for the first time last week and enjoyed four great rides. It’s really well thought-out from design, to pricing, to marketing, to operational organization.

Probably.

Nice! I was counting how many lime scooters I saw versus how many people were riding them this weekend. It seems like distributing them everywhere isn’t as effective as positioning them for “last mile” trips like yours.
