This is what happens to people when you try to lecture them for simply disagreeing with you.

Goodbye Bluesky!!
Thank you for the education. Your pedantry has been well received and I will refrain from contributing in future threads so as not to taint either of your reps. Have a good day. 👋

I had no idea the author was black. I read posts, I don't look at icons. Over-hyperbole is a large part of what got us in this mess because everyone stopped listening to all the hyperbole. We gotta be more honest with ourselves.

Not necessarily. Words have meanings and we should try to be diligent in expressing ourselves at least a bit more factually.

There's nothing hyperbolic about saying half the country (of those who voted), but saying the whole country, is.

Why rehire... so they can fire them again next month and claim a double "savings"?

I hope Mexico and Canada have been making other global arrangements, as it seems the EU has already begun doing (& will hopefully do even more — does the US really need all those "foreign" bases across "DEI"-based European countries? 😜 — maybe the US should be paying for those)

In the end, unless they go full-blown North Korea military authoritarian, there's no way to subjugate 100+ mil people. The dam will break at some point, but it'll take The People coming together to take it back.

But yeah, the damage will be immense. All war is messy & we're currently being couped.

Does it matter if they hold townhalls or not? Congress is impotent. They've abdicated their 1/3 to Trump. Same with SCOTUS.

All that matters is how far they will be able to inject themselves into the midterm (and subsequent) elections.

Hopefully Earth 2 will join back with Earth 1 for a class war.

If you're wondering when Trump will face consequences, from a Law & Order perspective that ship has sailed.

From here on out it'll be more about how much of the country we can salvage from all the GOP traitors who have allowed and continue to allow the US to be eaten from within.

In the interim (weeks/months), the courts still gotta do what the courts gotta do.
February 26, 2025 at 10:25 PM
The consequences will need to come from The People as a whole, which will be the test to see how long The People stay willfully ignorant vis-a-vis Faux News et al.

The more it undeniably hits more people (& no more Biden/"DEI" to blame), the more the pushback will need to rise to meet the occasion.

They have to go through the paces. Else what, just go home? It's futile, but futile doesn't mean just stop. Nobody knows what will pop up next, for better or worse. For most folks who swear an oath, doing your duty isn't about things overall being futile.

I'm not going to criticize Jeff Stein for his opinion on this, but I really disagree with him here. I think what Bezos has done has destroyed the entire organization's credibility. None of us can ever know what stories he is interfering with behind the scenes.
