Death by slinger in antiquity would be worst for me. Oh, someone picked up a pebble? That was all round and smooth? Like a skipping stone? And they spun it in a little thong of leather, and it caved in your head? Yeah good going buddy thanks for playing

Those things could be really fucking deadly

Not a teacher but a museums educator and yeah, a try helps you get a better idea where they're at, and more effective than repeating the original instructions, which you already know didn't click with them

This reminds me I need to track down new batteries for my five (5) Move controllers

I wonder if anyone makes rubber tracks you can hook up to a DC motor, like the old Tamiya tank kits (I had the King Tiger)

It's funny because the only reason they made them male-only was for sales (boys in the 80s rejected the female models they made before Rogue Trader). I do feel it'd be a little silly, like the diverse Empire cast in that one Star Wars game but maybe it'd help get rid of *those* Youtubers and fans.

There are two types: refrigerant are more energy efficient but don't work as well when cold. Desiccant for a wider range of climates. I had a desiccant that broke during a water leak so I immediately bought a more powerful refrigerant because I'm in Australia. Best appliances ever, great for laundry

Apparently they keep running into roadblocks trying to expand their Nottingham manufacturing facility. They also have to keep raising prices like a lot of UK companies because of huge increases in energy costs

As an outsider (Australian) it's possibly the best mass protest movement I've seen from the US since the Iraq war in terms of organisation, message discipline and just doing everything right to get big crowds quickly

Oh, interesting to know! Thanks

As a visual it was the thing that was latched onto internationally. It's the main thing everyone references or makes jokes about

Question from an Australian: how many MAGA hats do you guys actually see out in the world these days compared to the first term?

DJT is incredibly dangerous but he's old and tired, and he barely campaigned or held any rallies. Is there a point where his base drops enough that he'll rapidly crumble

I'm only halfway through but if there's some evidence of slower brain development, but it only happens with the onset of puberty, that's not an argument for 'redshirting' from day one; it's an argument for a post-Primary school gap year. Send those 12 year olds backpacking around Europe

I wonder if it was malicious compliance, following the instruction to cover them up as literally as possible and doing in the most obvious and direct way they could to draw attention

However looking at the wikis it seems some of the main spells I used only got added with the DLC, and presumably there had been other balancing done since launch

I don't remember what starter weapon I used, I'd have to check my save. I know it scaled the same as one of the main two stats, and the game felt more or less the same to me up until the spells started accumulating. Then the game got bonkers / often easy mode

My favourite was the human-sized (hunter?) boss in a huge hall at the top of some very long stairs. Almost impossible to beat normally, but with a ranged spell you could cheese them just out of range

My Arcane play-through was the most fun. You can just shoot some of the most difficult bosses
