I live abroad. To avoid a repeat of 2020, in 2024, I sent my completed ballot back with my stepmother after she came to see me to drop it at the Elections office. She mailed it, unfortunately, and it never arrived! But a travel card I had her send to Boston at the same time took 7 weeks to arrive.

The weird things that they have done to the post in Pittsburgh have meant that my last two Presidential election ballots took more than six weeks to arrive, missing the election deadline even though I sent them with over a month to go.

Also, it is just dreadful at all of those tasks! Even copyediting. AI can be programmed to reflect grammar — kinda — but it can’t actually copyedit at all, because it can’t properly manage and present the flow and turn of text.
