The one thing I do appreciate about the current moment is that we're seeing the masks come off. The same companies that hashtagged their asses off about caring for the marginalized in 2020 never actually cared. It was obvious but now nobody has to pretend anymore. We can call it like it is.

There is a whole subset of Nintendo games which I classify in my head as "I am sure I would enjoy but I am morally aghast that they would charge 60 or 50 bucks for this and never put it on sale" and as a result, I will never own them.

My hot take for 2024 is Lorelei and The Laser Eyes is good/great but not incredible.
Really thought I was going to get a The Witness level of puzzle and overthought 70% of the puzzles.
Atmosphere is fun though. UI/UX is a big miss.
