I grew up in a cult that taught you how to communicate "effectively." Which basically amounts to making people believe you are interested in what they are saying, and how to lie.

Eye contact makes me nervous but I feel like people don't think I'm genuine unless I force myself too.

Context: Every first Wednesday of the month he has to remind me that the tornado siren blaring is just a test, and not in fact, an actual tornado.

Then my statement doesn't apply to you. I mean specifically the rich people who do anything to stay rich. Though it's good that you promote the protections of forests.

My kid lives in Siddall Hall and sent me these yesterday. First is what was put up by the school, second is the students’ alteration of the administrations’ cowardice.

How many trans men are going to be victimized because they are going to be required to use the women's restroom?

You are not my friend if you want to argue about this, I don't owe you my emotional labor in trying to explain why this is fucked up.

There have already been incidents in the U.S where CIS women have been harassed because they do not fit some close-minded assholes vision of what a woman is supposed to look like.

As someone who is majoring in biology and minoring in sociology, a lot of the topics I'm learning about have been politicized and made controversial over the years by people who don't understand science or how research works. I'm speechless. I'm angry. I'm not surprised by this administration.

This of note in SB 1:

𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐚𝐧: The bill would prohibit diversity, equity and inclusion in recruiting, training or offering new scholarships. There is a limited exception for research grants that require DEI.

That said, there were roughly 9 people in support of SB 1, and hundreds of people who came out in support against it, yet this regressive bill still passed the senate. Governor Mike DeWine has stated that if this bill reaches his desk, he would not veto it.
