Do your own maths. I know how d'Hondt AMS works. WM ignored Indy majorities in 2016 & 2021. It'll do the same in 2026. ONLY an indy party with an outright majority got us IR1. If ALL of the YES voted and gave us the 2011 result (or better), there would almost certainly be another SNP majority.

Former Scots Tory MSP, Adam Tomkins, concedes that Unionist claims of the 'once in a generation' quotation in 2014 by Alex Salmond, was simply, “political rhetoric, not constitutional convention”.

The only country in the so-called UK Union that benefitted from Scotland's oil is England:

One more time:

Look at how just an extra 1.20% List Vote (Scotland-wide) gives the SNP a majority. THAT is what you are trying to prevent with your 'advice' (which WM will simply ignore if it comes to pass).

Look - we've been through this before. Look at how just 1.20% extra in the COMBINED vote took SNP from 63 seats to 69 seats. If every YESSER (54%) treat SE2026 as defacto vote on IR2 & votes SNP 1&2, only an idiot can think there wouldn't be a majority SNP. Unlike you, I want Indy, NOT Devo.

The arithmetic is simple. Look at the table. Look at how just 1.20% extra in the combined vote took SNP from 63 seats to 69 seat. If every YESSER (54%) treat SE2026 as defacto vote on S30 and vote SNP 1&2 only an idiot can think there wouldn't be a majority SNP. Unlike you, I want Indy, not Devo.

Isn't it odd how this article does not mention this MSP is a member of the Labour Party. You can absolutely bet your last penny if this was an SNP MSP, it would be wall-to-wall headlines for weeks, nae, months.

Scots don't need to paint any roundabouts. In fact - we don't even need to lift a finger. Here's our flag - a flag that embraces anyone and everyone under it.

And it won't change WM thinking at all. SE2021 delivered the largest number of indy MSPs our parliament has ever seen. Ignored by WM. The only time WM ever accepted the will of the Scots people is when an indy party (SNP) won outright control. That's the lesson. That's the route to IR2.

If the 54%+ YES voters in Scotland treat SE2026 as a plebiscite vote on S30/IR2 and get out next year and vote SNP, then an SNP Holyrood majority is a near certainty. There's only one way WM will agree S30/IR2 and it is up to us to MAKE IT HAPPEN. If they don't agree, then all bets are off.
