All the love in the world to Soejima's prior MegaTen and Persona work, but I really do think Metaphor is his magnum opus as a character designer.
I feel like this man has wanted to design fantasy-based characters all his life. All the characters in this game look dope af.

Scavenger's Reign - 9/10
God this show is SO damn amazing. It's top-tier science fiction television. Like Lost meets Made In Abyss. Just one of those shows you want to lose yourself in. It's so effortlessly good at what its doing. Please watch this show.

Ping Pong The Animation - 8/10
While I wouldn't say the writing and characters were bad by any means, I also just wasn't super moved by it. But Masaaki Yuasa's direction? Kensuke's Ushio's score? Elite. It makes for an elevated animation experience.

When I start to think on what many of my favorite manga panels/pages are, I start to realize that the majority of them are ones that have no dialogue to them.
I think many of the times a manga has moved me comes from that and not so much just an iconic line or good script.

Such a peak episode of Bleach this week. Pierrot was not kidding about going even harder with TYBW production starting with this cour, because it's been gas every episode so far and doesn't look like it's stopping.

Oshi no Ko S2 - 8/10
I finally got around to watching the rest of this season after putting it off for a minute. Doga Kobo really went off. So many beautiful bits of animation throughout and they handled this segment of the story really phenomenally.
