You need to call it illegal in the headline, which is very obviously is. You cannot sane-wash this nonsense. A general reader deserves to know how ghoulish these acts are, right off the bat.

If that’s actually the cause, maybe. I am very skeptical it is the reason, but in the metaphorical world in which it is, it’s very possible that sacrificing extreme explosion could be worth it to avoid playing backups for half the season.
