The solution is simple. Freeze residential electricity rates at current levels for the next five years and grow with inflation after that. The burden of higher electricity costs should be put on commercial and industrial users, not people just trying to stay cool in the summer.

My question is which investors are actually foolish enough to believe that this nuclear fusion plant from Helion Energy is 1) technically possible, 2) on an executable schedule, and 3) even close to cost competitive with renewable energy. Somebody is getting duped big time. Is blackmail involved?

I can see good reasons for trading to only happen during normal working hours. I’d go a bit further and eliminate all real time stock trading. Have buyers and sellers simply settle at the top and bottom of the hour. Nice and boring the way that it should be.

Residential electricity rates should be immediately frozen. Commercial and industrial users can pick up the slack.
