Thibs has been outmatched by Carlisle before and given how close the games are and how talented both rosters are, not pointing out that oh, I don’t know, he won’t adjust a failing starting unit or run two-mans that optimize results is absurd.

The swing in attitudes among fans is because of the “thrill” of this move—it’s taken away the safety net and now our chip hopes live or die with what’s on the table. Part of me is still hoping this was a 4D chess move and they anticipated the risk but part of me thinks they just took a blind leap.

fair for Thibs to say this—maybe JB and KAT are guilty of some of this—but the truth is that KAT’s long-term deficiencies on defense are the real culprit. until Precious and Mitch return, we won’t know whether the #Knicks can legitimately mitigate them long-term within the flow of a game.

Here’s my concern about the the Bridges trade atm. It’s fair to say he’s struggling to adjust. But the pay out to bring him here feels like it won’t ever be worth the opportunity cost of potential drafted players/ trades if he’s only going to be the 4th-5th most impactful player on the #Knicks.
