the ruling (billionaire) class relies on fallacious idealism to maintain its control (e.g. hard work pays off), so it’s always in their best interest to smear working-class politics (free buses, child care) as “impractical.” they’re gonna do everything to block #Zohran ‘s agenda even after today.

Prominent Democrats need to band together and demand the removal from leadership of Schumer and Jeffries. This isn’t cowardice, it’s corruption and being bought off at best and generational strategic stupidity at worst. It is costing lives.

And while Stearns’ moves overall have been a vast improvement from the past, I feel this ratchet pitching staff/ bullpen impugns some of his judgment.

Stearns’ plans on pitching and his decisions to tinker on the margins with Montas, Holmes, etc have not played out well. The #Mets need sturdy, proven talent at the top of the rotation next season. This one feels toasty.

Stearns bought (somewhat) cheap on rentals for an already precarious pitching staff that has only sunk further into mediocrity. And while warranted, his McClean call up puts the prospect in a more pressurized position than you’d ideally want for a big show debut. C’est la vie with these #Mets.
