Cain ends up in the bottom of the river, unable to move and uncapable of dying, however during the fall, his helmet falls off, allowing telepaths to enter his mind With Cain alone, the "voices" try to manipulate him, failing when he realizes that it is not his mind speaking, but someone else With Black Tom back to normal, Cain is brought back to the surface and Steve thanks them both for their help.
