At our Morgan Lewis workshop last week, one participant shared that they wanted to become a citizen, “To feel secure from deportation and be able to travel without legal repercussions. Also, I would like to sponsor my dad to come to the U.S.—he’s the last family member missing here.”

Happy Election Day! One of the most powerful benefits of becoming a U.S. citizen is the right to vote and have a voice in the decisions that shape our communities and our country. On October 16, we partnered with Goodwin to host a citizenship workshop where 46 volunteers helped 49 aspiring citizens complete their U.S. citizenship applications.

At the end of September, we were invited by Boston Children's Hospital's Office of Community Health to a resource fair held at their Family Food Connections food pantry, in partnership with Jamaica Plain Tree of Life.
We're so grateful to connect with folks in the community at events like these.

This past Saturday, we hosted a citizenship workshop in Lowell in partnership with CMAA - Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association and Middlesex Community College. With the help of 20 volunteers, we helped 31 immigrants complete their U.S. citizenship applications!

Last week, we hosted an in-office citizenship workshop with the support of 18 volunteers from Vertex. Together, we assisted 26 citizens-to-be in completing their U.S. citizenship application.

🌟As a member of the Access to Justice Fellows Program, a collaboration of the Lawyers Clearinghouse and the Massachusetts Access to Justice Commission, Lisel will manage a program that offers pro bono representation for clients with medical disabilities at their naturalization interviews.
