Do you think the Trump team has a running list of things they came up with titled “Horrible Things to Say or Do When the News Is Bad” that they just dip into any time headlines get too close to stuff like, say… Trump being listed in the Epstein files? Or do they use AI to generate ideas?

Reading The Speeches and Writings of Sadie Alexander (edited by @ninabanks.bsky.social) and just listened to @npr.org’s Throughline on Frances Perkins — now I really want someone (Nina? 🙂) to write Economics According to Women in Economics.

Today, we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. For many, Memorial Day is a day of deep personal loss. I want to honor the USAFA women who gave their lives in service—including my friend & squadron mate, C3C Chaney King. Their names live on in our hearts. Here’s a toast 🇺🇸

Excited to join the Akron Press Club this Friday to talk about why it’s time to rethink how we do local economic development—and what more effective and more community-driven strategies could look like.

I have heard many economists (and policymakers) suggest that the answer to rural economic struggles is simple: “Just move to a big city.”

Yet, some rural areas grow so rapidly that they’re eventually reclassified as nonrural, even as their success is rooted in rural strengths.

What?! Ohio Republicans are the ones who paid people to sign fake petitions to make people think they'd already signed the petition to repeal the corrupt HB6

Fair point. Many great minds were likely great because they had autism. We should better incorporate neurodiverse people into society if we want to keep advancing. But many parents have real questions about autism’s causes - if we don’t add science to that conversation, others will step in with BS.

Advanced paternal age is a known risk factor for autism. Old men should definitely stop sleeping with younger women (*clears throat* RFK jr.)

Golden’s alma mater does not require political science majors (like Golden) to take an economics course. Nor does Maine (or Pennsylvania) require any economics content to be taught in their K-12 education systems👇

Golden’s home state of Maine also does not require any economics (or personal finance) content in their K-12 education

Just casually pointing out - for no particular reason - that many students finish high school (& even college) with no formal econ education. In states like Ohio, even when required, it’s not always a standalone course and often gets crammed into something else, especially in under-resourced schools

Still true for the MAGAs 👇

It’s going to be a looooong time before I let Republicans forget they’re the party responsible for the largest tax hike in U.S. history.

@booker.senate.gov just broke the filibuster record staying cool under pressure. But I knew he had it in him - because I once watched him deliver a full speech in Akron without flinching as my toddler rained Goldfish at his feet. Every step: crunch. Unfazed. Legend.👇
