It's genuinely funny to me that vance is in theory Catholic, and keeps saying I don't believe this pope has any right to speak.

Seriously find a different religion to pretend to believe in, you had one fucking rule

Good on Penn Jillette. Having to come to terms with your entire political identity and philosophy being wrong is not easy and most people could never do it.

James Carville, in his NYT Op-ed, says it's time for Democrats to "embrace a sweeping, aggressive, unvarnished, unapologetic, and altogether unmistakable platform of pure economic rage. The most populist platform since the Great Depression."

I can dig it.

The thing I can't understand is how DJT learned that in April 1945 Hitler shot himself in the head to evade execution while Mussolini's dead body was hung upside down in a town square & mutilated by his own people ... & then said to himself: you know, I think fascism has a happy ending for me.

As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

The average US taxpayer spends $36 a year on SNAP

You know what they spend on corporate subsidies? $670

Poor and disabled people who need food are not the problem

If you’re angry about “your money” feeding people but not angry it’s giving tax cuts to the wealthy?

You’re doing their dirty work.

And it belongs to us."

Senate Ds did fight every step of way, made the bill toxic, forced Tillis to retire, made them vote in broad daylight as bill got worse, nixed some truly awful parts. They need more members. In 2026, vote out every R. That is what the lesson is here.

fellow nonfiction writers! if you're not currently saving EVERY SINGLE web page/web news story you cite to the Wayback Machine YOU SHOULD BE!!

no more dead links in footnotes!

no more dead links in bibliographies!

never ever forget how fragile the internet is—save internet history!
This October, the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine is projected to hit a once-in-a-generation milestone: 1 trillion web pages archived.

We’ll be commemorating this historic achievement on October 22 with a global celebration ➡️ blog.archive.org/2025/07/01/w...

737 billionaires in the U.S. have a combined wealth of 5.5 trillion. And they funneled it out of the middle class.

Then Trump keeps us fighting with each other while they steal more.
