Solidarity with colleagues in New Zealand - and a good day to remember for those of us working in qualitative/critical social psychology that some of the foundational texts of our discipline are based on a handful of relatively small studies from New Zealand of no obvious 'economic benefit'.
Wow - this is a very grim day for scholarship & society in Aotearoa... Social sciences/humanities funding gone from our primary "blue skies" funder - "not-core" (whatever that is) science also not valued; funds reoriented to economic benefit. No coherent thoughts
