So I’m doing FPL for the first time and understand there were recent changes to defender points? Was it expected that like 7 of the top 10 point scorers to date would be defensive players?

I looked into this a bit (it's not that deep I don't think). Basically, yeah, Vic prevents more goals than most keepers, but not enough to turn a high xGA into something that isn't a problem. profspur.substack.com/p/are-spurs-...

3) Spiers, for example, is still out there saying it was 10 games in Ange's first season then 'relegation form' for the rest. I mean, here's the PL form table 13 weeks into the *2nd* season. Spurs are 7th, 5 pts off 2nd, same GA as Are, Chels, 5 fewer conceded than City, 2nd best GD in the league...

The person assuming bad faith did come back later and admit that I unknowingly made an error and corrected it when it was brought to my attention, after they accused me of not caring about accuracy and spreading misinformation on purpose (which is, again, fucking insane):
