When you visually see how much of the 'energy sector' dominates SK and AB economies, understanding their politics makes a lot more sense. Kinda. Source is Stats Canada. I'll also concede there might be more to this story, depending on how we capture the sector as a whole.

Quick reminder that as the Premier of Saskatchewan says the best way to fight climate change is to develop Saskatchewan products and support Saskatchewan industry, his do-nothing-climate policies mean that SK has one of the highest per-capita GHG emissions in the country.
