My wife grew up on a cow and calf cattle ranch. And on one trip home I was tapped to help capture a calf who was about a month old. I have never been as humbled as I was in those thirty minutes. You think you are fast? You think you are strong? LOL. No, sir, you are not.

Dunno, man, there'd be fewer recriminations if y'all would simply do your jobs instead of continually rolling over and showing your soft underbellies. Maybe work on that if you want to see fewer recriminations.

In all seriousness, I’m pretty excited about this. It’s going to be a wonderful performance.

Like if "the Senate" or "politics" is pulling us away from what swaths of people understand as right, then you've got to make some kind of case that "the Senate" or "politics" is worth that substantive compromise.
In a democratic society, it really can't just be "it is what it is. ¯\_(ヅ)_/¯"

I drove the small humans to school this morning. I made them listen to Gordon Lightfoot the second the car started up.
A Christmas playlist was retribution from them.

If only one actor in the political system has an agenda they're willing to use the levers of power available to them to advance, & no one else is willing to shoulder the costs to stop them using the leverage they have, then that actor is sovereign—king in all but name—and his will is law.

This isn’t me endorsing the Senate Dem capitulation. This is me being frustrated.

But pulling against that is hungry people and a Republican caucus that is happy to let people starve. And tens of thousands of government employees who are in the lurch right before the holidays.
I don’t know what’s in the deal yet. And we don’t know what the House will do. But, man, I don’t know.
