I haven't seen anyone post the restoration credits for Angel's Egg yet, so given how rare these tend to be, here;

Being able to rewatch probably my favorite movie of all time for the first time in a theatre and via an original 35mm print has been one of the greatest filmgoing experiences of the year. I loved every minute and it was absolute heaven seeing it in the big screen in this way.

In terms of artwork and physical packaging, I doubt any release this year will top Profile of Mona Lisa

A massive order I made back in March which I’ve nicknamed “the order from hell” due to numerous titles in it being delayed over and over again finally arrived. I don’t post my “hauls” here anymore (not even my birthday one), but this was so amazing I couldn’t.

Dan Da Dan Blu-ray arrived. Very affordable release, but regrettably, the video has been encoded with incorrect (elevated) gamma;

Ado Shinzou review:

Without any exaggeration, one of the best experiences I have ever had. This is not “just” a concert film, but one of the greatest artists and performers in the world at the top of her game, giving an all-time performance captured with cinematic flare to match.

Adosolute Cinema.

I’m a little surprised it has no slipcover for a studio release, but ah well, it's finally here. Encode is much better than A24's own UHD, possibly courtesy of VDMS.

Absolutely gorgeous SteelBook. Since the specs were never announced before release, it's HDR and BD-100.

I don’t like westerns (with few exceptions, they're not for me), but you gotta support good work when you see it, and this is once such case

Most movies nowadays have a total of 12 or so chapter stops on a Blu-ray or UHD, which feels a bit lazy and uninspired, but thankfully isn't too much.

Then there's the JP Laserdisc of Seven Samurai with a whopping 206, at nearly one per minute. Guess Toho really wanted to flex...

Barnes and Noble carrying A24 exclusive releases in physical stores is a very wise move. Nice to own what's probably my number two movie of the year. A must watch.
