For 13 years, he was the "boy." He came to us at the Humane Society visiting room and immediately nuzzled my hand. I knew he was the right one. He was everything I had ever wanted from a cat. And I spoiled him. Tried to give him the best. Oh how I spoiled him. And now he's gone. I am empty😿😿😿

Today I had to make the decision to have my lovely, trusted ally in life put to sleep. He was one of the best cats I ever had the pleasure of knowing. While I've cried constantly all day and have this gaping hole in my heart, I know I did the right thing. Excuse me if my comments ring of sadness.

My old boy went to the vet yesterday to get his claws trimmed, felt for lumps and bumps and have routine blood tests. By the end of the day he was diagnosed with periodontal disease, under anesthesia which he didn't handle great and caused me to cry a lot when I was alone. Thank God he's still here
