I need some advice. My mom is 94, living at home (with help) and suffers from dementia. My wife is the love of my life but in constant pain from degenerative scoliosis. I lost my 13 yr old cat last summer to sinus cancer. I'm 70. Am I wrong to admit I'm miss and want another cat? 😭

I remember two things about Labor Day. 1) Jerry Lewis grandstanding his way through a telethon that made me feel it really was all about him. 2) School started the next day. Both made me cry.

For 13 years, he was the "boy." He came to us at the Humane Society visiting room and immediately nuzzled my hand. I knew he was the right one. He was everything I had ever wanted from a cat. And I spoiled him. Tried to give him the best. Oh how I spoiled him. And now he's gone. I am empty😿😿😿

Today I had to make the decision to have my lovely, trusted ally in life put to sleep. He was one of the best cats I ever had the pleasure of knowing. While I've cried constantly all day and have this gaping hole in my heart, I know I did the right thing. Excuse me if my comments ring of sadness.

Tonight, while the local yokal locals shoot off fireworks probably with little or no knowledge of what they really mean, I've resigned to the study to listen to Joni Mitchell's heartfelt album "Court and Spark". Joni was years ahead of her time. The rabble has yet to catch up. Here's to you!
