One unexpected kinda fun thing about this orchestra teaching job is that I’ve become pretty interested in instrument repair. I’m very much a novice at it—have done more harm than good once or twice—but it’s satisfying when it works (and saves my district some $$!)

Frustrated that I can't find the one CD I wanted to listen to. Probably lent it to someone and never got it back...

I haven’t had a working CD player in way too long—my Bose Wave system bit the dust a long time ago.

My wife got me a CD player for my bday 😃 that I can run through the Bose speakers. First up, the Durufle toccata…

I've been thinking a lot about this post recently. I think I understand the point this person is trying to make, and it's a fair point, to be sure; I'm not sure I appreciate how this person made the point, but that's a me-problem. 🧵

This is a pretty good reading list if I do say so myself…

Be kind—I haven’t played this excerpt in a while, but this is I think a good new-bass test piece.

I do love this bass… way more responsive and far greater dynamic range than my old one.

Can’t say I’ve given it much thought until right this second, but I don’t think I’d put Warhol in the same category as Haring and Basquiat. Maybe I can see it? (Spotted at Uniclo)
