This is a family recipe too. I've tried all sorts of fancy things where you cook a separate special custard first, but this traditional one-tin-wonder is by far my favourite.

It has the only original wooden lifts left anywhere on the underground. It's now used for tours, training the emergency services, and as an evocative film set.

Aldwych was on a one station branch line off the Picadilly - it was rarely used and closed in the late 1980s. In the war, the tracks were taken up and it became one of the best dedicated air-raid shelters. Part of it was also used for storing valuables from Buckingham Palace.

Yep i would note the samdwich did not break down the cheese ingredients, which would have taken it up to 40!

Yeah - he was following a recipe from a book - personally there are some small tweaks I would make, perhaps to give it a better 'sauce' (mash up a couple of the plums and add a dash more soy at the end). But it was tasty.
