Every now again it’s useful to repeat advice about accessing papers that are behind a paywall that excludes you. Email the author. My estimate is that 90% of academics are so thrilled that a living, breathing, possibly even reading, person shows interest that they will swiftly send you a copy.

Intriguing how frequently the word “ideology” is now used in“public/media chit/chat” …. (especially US/UK). And so badly/wrongly🤬… it’s kind of hilarious (😩) when a politician or councillor says “let’s get ideology out of politics!” Erm …..🫤

I think most of who have worked in writing or entertainment know that piracy is a fact of life, and has been for a long time now.

But there’s a difference between a broke student downloading a PDF of your book, and a multibillion dollar company stealing your work for its own bullshit purposes.
