I know we have A LOT of serious stuff to deal with but like just real quick, one thing in southern CA: I think the pollen lever valve may have been left open — can someone get that? I was outside for two whole hours and my face is sand paper and my lungs are mud and I’d like to exchange all my skin.

I can’t believe it’s practically Sunday evening already. It’s not at all what I thought I would wake up to after laying down for a nap Sunday late afternoon.

When I get to the thick hectic last weeks of March, too far from spring break to put things off but enough into the term that I’m overwhelmed, I will ask myself, why didn’t I prep this over winter break. Surely there was time. And the reason I didn’t will always be the same. Naps. Glorious naps.

Am I doing threads wrong over here or do they not post the way the did at the other place. Added a new entry to my baking thread but the latest post doesn’t show up first and the whole thread is still buried far down below all other posts. Can we not do occasionally updated long threads here?

It really is a bummer that the other place is such a wreck. I saved my archive before closing up, but like 16 years is a lot of thoughts and memories. Ok, so I had an account over at the other place starting in 2008. Pics couldn't even be posted there without something like Twitpic. But eventually, we got pics. And I started, slowly, posting little forays into cooking, but mostly baking.

When you are standing around at the Professor holiday party and others are talking about how they plan to be done with all the grading by the end of finals week and you chime in “me too, I think so, yes, me too” knowing it means you have to grade 41 things a day for the next 8 days.
