dad, husband, punk, atx always, neurodivergent af, positively bedeviled w/ meetings etc; petty vogue ideas; fix your hearts or die; floating with my eyes closed and no sails; you want poetry, he’s got plenty; absolute candor; IDIC/LL&P; he/him
Everyone there was too cool to talk to me except one guy who ya know at least made eye contact and asked what movie I was seeing so I bought this Buffy set I had when I was 16 for $9 all is right in the world.

take care of yourself, be aware of your surroundings, drink fucking water, make sure you at least eat lunch, maybe just have the one coffee, and don’t do drugs surrounded by strangers in the front of the pit at the modest mouse show

also once my wife and i saw modest mouse in new braunfels about 10 years ago in a different dirt gravel pit in the hill country and it legit remains the worst live show i’ve ever been to, so tonight was definitely a different kind of experience i guess

and yeah it’s october but austin is always just so fucking hot y’all and this was an hour + 45 into this *loud and raucous* rock and roll concert

anyways be careful out there kiddos. this guy was maybe 23 at most and crashed out hard and just another dude took him to get help but that was his *job*

we’re way up front and literally before anyone could help in any meaningful way, a worker at the venue *picked the guy up* and away they went — yay for that dude at stubbs i’m assuming you have basic medical training to work the front pit

i would assume not a cigarette, as he soon grabbed my shoulder to steady himself shortly before falling to the ground, hard on his back

stubbs, where i’ve never seen a bad concert, is a large dirt gravel pit. this poor guy is on the rocky ground, and was, as near as I could tell, tripping balls

It's so cool we're boiling lakes, polluting neighbourhoods, stealing from millions of people and burning billions of dollars to do whatever the hell this is?
