Political violence disproportionately hurts people with less power, not people with more power. Political violence will disproportionately hurt people of color and women and LGBTQ people. It’s not fair, but that’s the way it works. Celebrating political violence means at best indifference to that.
Political violence is bad. It usually begets more political violence.
Celebrating political violence is bad. It usually encourages more political violence, against various targets.
Campus shootings are bad. They make everyone on campus less safe.
It's bad that what I wrote here is controversial.

He’s an idiot. He’s doing what idiots do, which is smash things when they don’t understand how they work but they want to feel important. This is such an easy message to sell because it’s true and everybody is starting to feel it at the gut level (except the cultists and they’re lost anyway)

This is the other critical concept. They believe in the lowest primate aspects of human interaction, as if the higher ones don’t exist.
i think a pivotal driving belief of trump and these fucking psychos in general is that there is no such thing as mutually beneficial interactions or relationships. there is only domination, hierarchy and winning.

This is it. This is the whole thing right here. “Wrong, childlike concepts” that make people feel smart and strong when they’re actually uninformed, weak and selfish. The sheer toddler joy of kicking down something someone else built.
Everyone wants there to be a grand scheme behind all of this but the terrible truth is that extremely stupid people are in charge and they have a fanatical devotion to wrong, childlike concepts of society and economics cooked up by right wing radio hosts in order to sell tainted dietary supplements

Why is counter messaging any more difficult than “these people have no idea what they’re doing.” Why are we treating them like serious people? When in doubt, point out the truth that everybody can ALREADY SEE
