RIP to Dr. Marika Sherwood: a huge inspiration among historians and activists, and a founder of the Black and Asian Studies Association. Without her tireless contributions over the past few decades, the field of Black British History would look very different today. We owe her so much 🖤✊🏽

On Friday I was able to attend the Black Power at the Grassroots Symposium in Manchester. Was an opportunity to meet so many scholars whose work I’ve read and connect with other grad students. And I’m coming out of the experience so inspired by their work.
