First time presenting at a philosophy conference and could not have asked for a better experience. Had an excellent time and conversations at #SPP2025.

I surely do not feel so strongly about this for it to be my first post; it just happens to be. Sharing these thoughts only because the inhibition for posting somehow feels low here at Blue Sky - probably because it is new and seems to be in the 'Dear diary' phase for now! Have a good day.(5/5)

My bet is on the former - that is, the interdisciplinarity of the field-as my experience in engineering was quite different, where people led with the assumption that you know/understand things. That may not be a better approach but is a different one. The best approach might just be to ask! (4/5)

Makes me wonder if this is a feature of a highly
#interdisciplinary field like #cognitive #neuroscience or result of more personal aspects of me - like being a woman or speaking in plain English(vs using compound/technical terms-not against using them; just find them hard to remember).(3/5)

I have, on quite a few occasions; the good thing is I have now learned to deal with it, but they still remain a little frustrating and feel slightly patronizing, even though that may not necessarily be the intention. Not sure how representative this experience is though.(2/5)
