More a change in economic policy from Keynsian to Friedman/NeoLib. Ie from commitment to progressive taxation to investing at the top because of belief a bigger pie would mean more for all.

It is about the shift from redistributive economy in 50s -70s to regressive economic policy since 80s. Social mobility opportunity that I and other boomers had, has been shut off.

When a government seems ‘captured’ and flips on a range of issues of immense importance to you, you walk. You walk towards an independent or a party that will at the very least represent your values and hold the government to account. You work alongside them, because the stakes are so high. 🌏🔥🕊️
