"It's impossible. Do it anyway."
I'm sore and both my muscles and HR hit the limits pretty fast. But it still felt good. Three miles. (2/2)

not break my PR but came within two minutes of doing so. My ankle was a nonissue and the brace is coming off.

As Alfred put it so well, "why do we fall, Master Bruce? So we can learn to pick ourselves back up again." Failure only truly happens when we stop trying again.

should have been.

I ran that day, however only a training run on my own, and seeing furs posting images like this from that same race hurt. But, it also inspired me to keep trying. Today was my first race after the injury. I'm not back there yet. I did a 10K. I also did

But this is really just another workout. Two, possibly three full marathons next year. It's time to get back. Two miles this morning. Just a tiny shakeout run. Once I loosened up, it was easy. Please spare a thought for your wolf tomorrow morning. (2/3)

And what once felt like a mockery can turn into a motivation. Three miles. Race week taper. (4/4)

I still talk to it pretty much every day. Barely gasping out, "not done yet." Or, "almost, old friend, see you tomorrow."What was once impossible will someday be your warmup. This is quite literally true. (3/4)

passing it every time started to feel like a challenge. I'd yell, "NO!", sometimes forgetting to check if anyone was around, lest I look like a lunatic. But then things started to change. This sign means I'm almost back now. Yes, I'm nuts. (2/4)

I apologize for the very late reply. It has taken me a very long time to build the courage to write, then record, and finally send this to you. You may never see it at such a late date. That's ok.
