Yeah, regardless of how the sub pans out, today goes in the book of wins. I'm proud of me for putting in the work, both on myself and on my writing and this particular story.

Life happened. Toxic influences. Voices and actions to create self-doubt and trauma that lingered long after the people. Just getting to the point of being able to submit a thing for any reason is a win. Subbing is hard enough as is. Subbing when you've survived a thing or three, that's huge.

Thanks for this! Yesterday, I nervously sent sample chapters I've been polishing as part of a workshop application package to a friend with an MFA. I got so wrapped up in improving things based on their feedback that I overlooked the win that was them really liking it and wanting more.

The same forces attacking abortion access are attacking gender-affirming care — both rooted in control.

We can’t stop at abortion access. We have to dig injustice out at the root, not just when it touches our own gardens.

Abortion is health care — but it’s also about bodily autonomy, self-determination, and the right to shape our own futures.

Trans people are in a parallel, interconnected fight.
