Sports, data, and brain rot in equal measure.
Made it back to the backup spot by week 2. Now I just need to grind out the rest of the season, improve my stats, and maybe transfer after this year to get out of depth chart hell.

Finally clawed my way back in to the starting position in time to play in the MAC title game and bowl game. I also made Freshman All MAC and All-American.

Unfortunately, I was still a 67 overall, so I dropped to fourth on the depth chart in the offseason.

Headcanon is that I got arrested

I was also getting hurt. A lot.

Each week, I was using all my energy on recovery instead of anything else. I couldn't train to improve faster, even though I desperately need to in order to reduce the damage.

After a month of this, the starter came back and the backup passed me on the depth chart

Redshirted for the first year. Never saw the field. Got very well acquainted with the practice mini games.

RS-FR year the starter is injured in week two. Suddenly, I am starting with a 66 overall rating. As a power back, I manager to "three yards and a cloud of dust" my way to 345 yards and 8 TDs

First, let me introduce my player for this playthrough.

This is Howie Dewitt

Whichever of these players ends up being the runner-up will miss out on an award they deserve. In any other year, they would have run away with it.

Maybe we should consider ourselves lucky that we get to watch two other worldly talents play in the same year.

Either way, it’s a shame someone loses

In the end, one of them will win, and one of them will lose, depending on what the voters value.

This, I think, is the worst part of this race.

Both of these players would stand head and shoulders above the rest of the sport, if it weren’t for the other.

This makes comparing the two bodies of work exceptionally difficult, made even harder by the fact that Hunter plays both ways.

As a result of this, this year‘s Heisman race has become a Rorschach test for sports commentators, allowing them to use or discount any stat that fits their view
