Recent outages and slowdowns were the result of a fiber optic cable failure, and coincided with massive spike in new users and volume. Look, bsky, it's ok it happens to everyone sometimes. www.theverge.com/2024/11/14/2...

@blueskyfeeds.com is reporting performance problems as well. Both developers indicate issues began around the time of the large influx of new users a few days ago. Likely the increased load and/or the measures taken by bsky devs to accommodate that load are involved in the outage/slowdown.

While some hosted feeds remain working, problems are on-going for the popular @skyfeed.app tool. The site developer has posted they are aware of issue and working on a solution.
