As promised, the most valuable secret of bsky:

Bluesky is PEOPLE!
a man with a beard and suspenders is smiling in front of a blue sky
Alt: Charleton Heston is smiling in front of a blue sky, until... maybe he is terrified, or possibly the camera angle just goes a bit weird.

The current oh no posts about weird (derogatory) sexts are about excerpts from writings of Olivia Nuzzi’s ex, Ryan Lizza, who is relating purported exchanges between Nuzzi and RFK Jr.

Yes, according to the generally reliable labeler that lists join months, @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social joined in Apr 23 (a very fine time to join), and is thus very much a bsky elder.

The "Torment Nexus" post is about a condition created by a tech leader, that took a cautionary tale of a horrible design choice by a technology company as an reason to implement a horrible design choice.

This seems obvious... and yet.

Bluesky seeks Head of Communications, no experience necessary. Just kidding. All the experience necessary. Learning from it, however, is discouraged.

Several accounts describing correspondence btwn Link and Bsky moderators indicating reason for the ban was inciting violence by sharing an image of Charlie Kirk, taken just before his murder. Some, but not all descriptions, have said it was in a reply to bsky staff but I have no confirmation yet.
Adding to growing list of accounts afoul of moderators, @spacelawshitpost.me (fka @knilirabaj.bsky.social) is currently suspended. Reason for suspension has not been shared. Adding to questions- account may be hosted in outside PDS, raising question about scope of suspensions under federation.

'Clanker' is a reference to discussions about Anti-AI sentiment and the extrapolation of this into behavior that mimics racism. Most bsky references are joking in nature, with occasional philosophical posts exploring the connection more seriously.

waffles is a reference to an old post about someone liking pancakes, and someone replying 'what about waffles'.
In current context, @jcsalterego.bsky.social made a reference to this, the site CEO @jay.bsky.team QP'd we can do better. Someone said 'did you ban Jesse Singal', Jay replied 'waffles'.

Stovey has been here from very early, and early bsky enjoyed much needed happy moments from their heroic efforts to like posts. Not a bot. Not a bit. She read our shite, and liked the stuff that was passably good. If you see old accounts sad and angry to hear they've been treated badly, that's why.
