“Why do they need masks? They’re federal officials, they’re paid by the taxpayers. They should be doing their jobs in a way that’s lawful and constitutional, and that’s part of the job.”

DC Mayor Bowser questions why so many federal officers in the capital continue to cover their faces.

There’s “a lot of rhetoric that portrays the drive for equal opportunity as a form of reverse discrimination,” writes David Holt, Oklahoma City’s mayor. “Sometimes this rhetoric is cloaked in patriotism, but it is really just repackaged bigotry, misogyny and racism.”
Opinion | I’m a Red-State Mayor Who Knows the Value of Diversity
In Oklahoma City we’re not put off by rhetoric about reverse discrimination that attacks equal opportunity and celebrations of our residents’ unique identities.

Trump's approval ratings are tanking. He hasn't done squat to help the working class. The Epstein scandal haunts him.

He's a tyrant with his back against the wall, so he's lashing out with troops in DC and rigging elections in Texas.

These are signs of weakness, not strength.

“This is racial gerrymandering at its worst.” Rep. Al Green told Mother Jones during the Texas House proceedings, where they passed a redistricting plan that could give the GOP five additional seats in the US House.

Well, you know the streets of DC are truly dangerous if they're letting the president go out at night for a photo op.

Sometimes the sheer idiocy of this moment overwhelms me. The idea that our convicted felon POTUS who incited an attack on DC police then pardoned the attackers & who's the most corrupt official in US history is going on an "anti-crime" ride-along in a city w/falling crime rate is...(brain explodes)

The explosion in CEO pay relative to the pay of workers isn’t because CEOs have become so much more valuable than before.

They've just gamed the system to line their pockets.

Is it any wonder why so many working people feel the game is rigged against them? (It is.)

The Trump administration is operating a concentration camp in Florida, stripping people of due process and legal counsel. This isn’t just about immigration—it’s about human rights and the future of our democracy. We need to keep speaking out.
