Went to St. Louis yesterday to luncheon with friends since I had the holiday off. I enjoyed chicken tikka masala (I know, so basic) and mango lassi. I don’t normally post food pics but they turned out so well, why not? From Black Salt in #ChesterfieldMO #IndianCuisine
Chicken tikka masala. The curry is an inviting, savory orange-ish color with various specks of spices. Dividing the dish into three portions is salad (spinach as the greens?) with sliced onion and baby tomatoes, drizzled with a dark brown dressing (perhaps a vinaigrette) and basmati rice which has two golf ball sized samosas sitting atop the rice bed. Mango lassi in a hexagonal glass garnished with mint and a fresh lime soda in a stemless glass cup.
