I have felt helpless as a witness to suffering that is not only allowed but ENCOURAGED by the petty Herods of today & those who remain indifferent.

Some become refugees because life at the margins, demonized & forsaken, is unbearable.

We can look back & see that Herod was evil, those who helped the Holy Family were good, and that the victory to be had from that exodus would be triumphant.
We celebrate what it represents and what it has brought into the world.
